Event Apps you have to Download

There are ‘soooo‘ many things to do here in NYC, no matter what you’re into. But many people find themselves going to the same places and doing the same things over and over again. Well, I have the ultimate list of event apps that will allow you to always keep your schedule full. This list is great for networking or just for having fun. There’s a whole city out there for you to see. And as we know, life now is more about experiences. And for once, I think it’s a great trend to follow.

  1. Bandisintown- This app displays all of the concerts scheduled to go on near you. This app is really cool because it only shows you, artists, you’d be interested in based off of your music apps like apple music. It also allows you to track your favorite artists so that you never miss a beat. You can select the shows you’re thinking about attending. And the app will directly forward you to the authorized ticketing app.
  2. DoNYC- DoNYC features information on all sorts of film, live music, comedy shows, Parties, and arts & Cultural events. DoNYC not only features an amazing app for your exploration but they also have an amazing newsletter that they send out each week with different lists of things to do.
  3. Eventbrite- Now Eventbrite takes a little bit more effort to filter through but I’m not being sarcastic when I say that someone or some company is always using this app to promote their events or sell tickets. This app has tickets available for everything, from ladies free at the biggest clubs in NYC to your local career fair. And once you attend an event, you’ll most likely start receiving emails about all of the events being held by that organizer.
  4. Timeout- TimeOut is very similar to DoNYC but instead of mainly posting one-time or temporary events, they post places to go and things to do in NYC. So there may be a really cool restaurant that has always been there but you may or may not have noticed it. Timeout shows you things that you haven’t done but they’ve always been there. It’s a great app to use when looking for a place to add to your bucket list. There are a lot of other websites like Timeout but I think that timeout has the best app and newsletters out of all of them.
  5. Vfiles- If you’re into fashion, music, and hip-hop or urban culture than V-files is the perfect app to get into. Signing up for V-files is like becoming the newest member of the clan. And V-files makes sure that all events are in support of its members.
  6. GPS Radar by Launchmetrics- Gps Radar is a great app and I only put it at the bottom because the events are limited to fashion. This app is great if you’re in the fashion industry. And the app is a need to have if you attend events like NYFW.
  7. Global Citizens- I was skeptical about putting this app on the list until they gave away free tickets to the Global citizens festival for just completing a few simple tasks.
