Lil Baby & Gunna are the most innovative emerging voices of this time. And the dynamic duo did not disappoint with this joint album. We fell in love with artists like Young Thug, the Migos, future and many others mostly due to the sound of their voice. Lil baby and Gunna both have such distinctive voices that they may give these artists a run for their money.
And that’s not the only thing. The beats on this album are fire and very in tune with the direction trap music is taking, while not being overwhelming. Lil Baby & Gunna both have a very repetitive flow on most of the songs. Now I know I spoke negatively in my “Quavo Huncho” review about how his repetitive flow but Lil Baby & Gunnas flow is full of content. And while the flow is repetitive throughout each song, it’s still a different flow you heard on the other song. I also believe that these sequences are tailored very well to the beat and good for consistent listening. I can listen to all the songs on the album all the way through.
another thing I like about this album is that no matter the feature the song still sounds like their song. The album doesn’t have many features but of the features, they do have, neither of them are over-powered.
