If you’re not feeling this album then you simply don’t have an ear for innovation because that’s exactly what 6lack did with this album. He manages to merge hip hop with R&b & alternative. 6lack has literally created a genre of his own. It’s very authentic. the creativity of this album is amazing. And I can appreciate music that makes you feel something deeper without taking it too much to another place. The album is very relatable.
I feel like artists these days are having trouble make a cohesive album. Either the songs sound too similar or way too different to belong on the same album. But this album is a collective masterpiece. Everything was well thought out, including the features. All of the features added even more substance to the tracks.
And what I like most about this album is that it’s for men and women. There are songs that are more relatable to men and songs more relatable to women. There’s something for everybody. And the men won’t be embarrassed to say that they like it. I like every single song on this album but if I had to choose favorites. This would be my top 5. I had to do top five because the album is that much of a vibe.
