My NYFW

My NYFW

New York Fashion Week is always so exciting. Fashion Week, in general, is like its own world. We creatives, fashionistas, bloggers, & influencers literally become consumed by everything the event has to offer. For me, there’s something about the environment that makes you feel good about yourself and grateful for the experience. I enjoy going to every show, big or small. The designers are so expressive with their style which really makes the brand. And I know it sounds weird but my favorite part of fashion week is walking into the show space. You immediately get to see everyone’s style in one place. And there’s something about the vibes the lights and cameras give off. It makes you feel legit. And then you’re all excited for the start of the show. It’s literally amazing.
Fashion also has so many different levels, that everything from the shows to the people attending it are interesting to look at! You also get a chance to meet the dopest people. I’ve made some great friends attending NYFW. The excitement you get from seeing them at a show, taking each other’s pictures, & meeting new people together is priceless. You also gain a lot of insight from the different positions people have within the industry. It’s always fun to compare shows and see which ones you’re both going to. It also fun grabbing lunch or dinner together in between shows. And believe it or not, it’s also fun being exhausted because you get to talk about how exhausted you are with your friends. And your tiredness is always worth it.
Below are some of the shows I went to. I chose these shows to give a recap on because they either changed my life in some way or I got a lot of good content from going. Lol’

Kate Spade

How can I not put Kate Spade at the top of my list? This is show was nothing but fabulous. I loved all the prints as well as the play on tone. Every model was styled perfectly. Nothing better than Ready to Wear that’s truly ready to wear.

The style at Kate Spade

Michael Kors

I was so honored to attend the Michael Kors all Acesss show during NYFW. The room was filled with vibes! The show featured the most poppin’ models, Bella hadid, Gigi Hadid, Adut Akech, and many more. And there’s no way anyone could forget the finale!

B & H X NYFW Content Workshop

Shout out to @savionron for inviting me! I met some really cool people. And gained some insight! That’s always a cool combination!

Hakan Akkaya

Talk About Glam Rock! Sequins never looked so Good! All the looks were edgy yet classy! The designs were so cool & innovative.

Noon By Noor

Minimalist designs with great use of materials! There wasn’t anything necessary innovative about this show but you have to appreciate quality design.

Alessandro Trincone

Talk about Creative! So happy I got a chance to attend. Alessandro really took it to another level by using meshing different materials like faux fur, feathers, and silk. He also used great tones to elevate the looks! Not to mention, Dreamdoll wore the finale piece.

Chromat

Chromat never fails to disappoint! The shows are always fun, inclusive, and filled with loads of beautiful colors. I also love how they promote diversity. And hope to never miss a show.

Son Jung Wan

Super cool show.  loved all the different textures. As well as all the pattern and color blocking. This collection was classy but with a twist, which made it fun & different!

Asia Fashion Collection

I enjoyed all the different shapes and structures that were put together to create pieces. I also appreciated Asia’s fashion collection’s use of layering. It’s always so fresh and creative!

Custo Barcelona

Amazing as usual. Wish I would’ve got better content but you can still see all the detail. Custo Barcelona always makes glitter and embroidery look edgy and expensive. He also takes outerwear to another level!
Many designers chose not to do standing shows. But I really enjoy them! It enables you to get up close and personal. It also allows conversation, whether it be about the clothes or for networking.
