Projects of the Week

This week’s Projects of the week are more on the chill side. All the projects are pretty much a mood. All of the artists have an inventive yet defined way of music. In my opinion, the musicality is just a level up from what you hear on the radio. Check them out and see if you agree.

Skydive- Domani

Domani, son of iconic rapper, T.I. really did his thing with this project. The whole album is a mood. His artistry is well above his age, which is why he’s able to rock with artists such as D. Smoke and Anthony Hamilton. Going hard like this, he has a promising future in the business. I can see him working with some of the best lyricists. Every song on “Skydive” is truly a work of art. Domani’s musicality, flow, and lyrics are a 10 out of 10.

What’s a Diamond To a Baby

First off, I love everything Emmavie does. She’s a very special person that thrives under the radar. So special that she’s a Grammy’s judge this year. She produces and writes her own music as well as for others. Emmavie is a musical genius; such a genius that only other musicophiles can understand. This project came at perfect timing. It’s exactly what I need. And it has been on repeat. Every song is fire but Uh Huh Okay, Tune (feat. DT Soul & Skripture), and Be Mine are my favorite.

If Orange Was a Place- Tems

The hit single, Essence really put Tems on the Map. It had everyone anticipating what’s next for the upcoming artists. And Tems surely didn’t disappoint with this project. The sultry and soothing tone of her voice makes every track a vibe. This project speaks to the vibrations of your soul. I appreciate the music you can feel. So I was very happy when Tems dropped “If Orange was a Place”

Hues- Unusual Demont

This was my first time learning about Unusual Demont. But I’m glad I did. His artistic take on music is everything. It’s the perfect meld between R&B and alternative. The indie vibes we all love. Amber is my favorite track on the project. It has a daft punk vibe that just feels reminiscent of the good ol’ times. “Pine” would have to be my second favorite.
