Marigold- Alex Isley and Jack Dine Create a Dream!

Talk about heaven on Earth! Alex Isley and Jack Dine are the dynamic duo. Their latest joint album “Marigold” is a decadent treat for all indie/soul lovers. Starring only 9 tracks, the project is short, sweet, and filled with filling or should I say feeling ‘Lol’. They showed the capability of their partnership Since when they released their collaborative EP Wilton in 2019. And after the single release of “Good and Plenty”, we expected nothing less of the duo. But this project is so much more than that.  Jack Dine’s production in conjunction with Alex Isley’s voice set for a magical forcefield full of vibes.

“Marigold” will put you in your ‘feels’ but in the most positive way. I like music that enhances that feeling of ‘groundedness’. The ethereal sound created by the productions of Jack Dine and the voice of authentic songstress, Alex Isley flows cohesively throughout the album. It’s so good through and through that, I want to choose all 9 as my favorite. But being that I have to choose, “Such a Thing”, “Too Bad I Forgot”, and “Under the Moon” would have to be the top 3.

Fav Songs

Such a Thing- This track definitely sets the tone for the album. The magical melody accompanied by the sexy bass created an R&B groove like no other.

Too Bad I forgot This is my personal favorite. This track’s production is otherworldly. There’s so much going on but it comes together in such a beautiful way, leaving room for soul & lush rhythm.

Under the Moon- This is probably the most relatable and moody track. Catchy course and Just like the title say’s it’ll have you feeling ‘under the moon’ and thinking about that special someone.
