What I Didn’t Tell You(Deluxe)- Coco Jones

There’s no doubt that Coco Jones has amazing music. But this album is the debut that she needed to show listeners that she can hang with the current mainstream R&B artists. The album was well developed and feels true to her brand. It’s so good that it deserved a deluxe version. Every song is elite. As a collective, this album is a great addition to today’s R&B.

Fav’ Songs

  1. Caliber
  2. ICU
  3. Fallin

The Drive in Theatre Part 2- Curren$y

Curren$y is a legend when it comes to 420-friendly/ ‘smoking music’ And this album doesn’t fall short of that. Before it dropped, I was complaining about needing some new music to vibe to. So was happy when this project came along. It’s calm, understated, yet effective. It’s the type of project you play straight through.

Fav’ Songs

  1. Vintage Luxury (feat. Premo Rice)
  2. Super 8
  3. Umbrellas
  4. Thought U knew (feat. Jade Angelle)

Where We Left Off- Brandy haze

Brandy Haze has several amazing EP’s. For the last few years, she’s been very consistent with dropping a new body of work. But ‘Where We Left Off’ feels a bit different. It’s still her sound, a mix of R&B, pop, and subtle neo-soul. But this album is elevated. Every track is a production. And all of the songs work together well as a collective.

Fav’ Songs

  1. Say Something
  2. Married to Money
  3. Killed By Cupid

Let’s Start Here- Lil Yachty

While I was surprised to see Lil Yachty exploring the alternative genre, I wasn’t shocked. Once I listened to it, everything made sense. And I must say that it’s very fitting for him. If any rapper could pull this off it would definitely be him. It does give me more a summer vibe. Soi it may get even more traction then.

Fav’ Songs

  1. The BLACK seminole
  2. The Ride
  3. Running out of time
  4. THE zone-
  5. drive ME crazy!

Sincerely For You- Jacquees

I’m not sure why people hate on Jacquees because the man puts out good music. Every album is an R&B sensation. And this one is no different. It does comprise more hip-hop melodies than usual. But He collaborated really well with all of the featured artists. I will say that this album doesn’t feel like an advancement in terms of his elevation. However, it falls in line with his brand. And it’s good.

Fav’ Songs

  1. When You Bad Like That (w. Future)
  2. Tell Me It’s Over (w. Summer Walker & 6lack)
  3. The Mud (w. 21 Savage)
