Projects of The Week

“At Least We Have This”- Ama Lou

Ama Lou gave us four different tracks to match our mood. The first track, “Trust Nobody” makes me want to sing my heart out in the car. “Same Old Ways” is a calm dancehall vibe with a touch of pop. You gotta’ love it, especially with that tone change up. I like this side of Ama. This project definitely makes you anticipate more from her.

“Most Wanted”- Jean Deaux

Jean Deaux does no wrong in our eyes! Her music is timeless and bound to be on repeat. Our fav’ tracks from this project are “Jumpin”, “Most Wanted”, “Every Night After”, and “ChopNscrew (feat. Ambré)”. I know that’s half the E.P. But there really aren’t favorites when it comes to Jean Deux’s projects. She creates music projects that you want to play the whole way through. Jean Deaux continues to highlight the diversity in her sound. Her last project was hype and cocky. Most Wanted is a sexier more sultry vibe. But nonetheless still Jean Deaux.

“D-day”- Hoody

D-day is the type of E.P. that any musicophile would fall in love with. So clean, simple, and to the point. It’s neo-soul with a touch of pop. You don’t have to speak Japanese to understand what Hoody is saying because the music speaks for itself. Every single song on the EP is amazing from beginning to end. This E.P. of only four songs will make you obsessed with this new artist, Hoody.

“Intimidated-EP”-Kaytranada

Kaytranada can do no wrong in our eyes. Everything he does is iconic. His talent is relentless. This project is also a short one. But nothing less than great. It’s truly amazing how he manages to find the balance between his and the artist sound. It’s always a perfect mixture where each party shines equally.

“R&B?”- Tierra Whack

Tierra is so iconic. Everything she drops is genius. This project was a lot different than her others; hence the name “R&B?”. This is a style of Hip hop/ R&B that we’re not getting from any other male or female artists right now. It’s bold, effortless, and creative. It’s only three tracks so there aren’t any favorites. All of them are equally intuned. This EP was my favorite/ most listened to of the three EP’s she recenlty released.
